The Met Live Theatre Company consists of a group very talented young actors who are exploring the acting possibilities available to them on the newly renovated concert stage at Metropolitan.

Our first production, Shakespeare's King Lear, was presented in February of 2024. This production took place on the concert stage, which we call the Metropolitan Main Stage. We followed with Fred Carmichael's  Any Number Can Die. An hilarious takeoff on the murder mystery plays of the late 20s complete with secret panels, robed figures, and wills being read at midnight! This production was in the Metropolitan Underground Theatre. Our third show was Hamlet, again on the main stage.

Now we are excited to present  And Then There Were None.

    Director’s Note

And Then There Were None includes everything a good murder mystery should: mysterious guests, dark backstories, screams in the dark, an island in the midst of a storm, and, of course, a mystery to solve. Based on the nursery rhyme “Ten Little Soldiers”,  And Then There Were None is one of the famous Agatha Christie's most popular, best-selling novels. There are two endings to this show (1939 and 1943), so although many of you may think you know how the story ends, you may be surprised!

Something unique about MetLive Theater and this production especially is the student involvement. Not only are our actors students, but our stunning set was designed and built by students, and leadership roles (Stage Manager and Director) were filled by students as well. Opportunities to get involved in backstage work allows our members not only to learn how to play a character onstage, but also develop an understanding of the ins and outs of theater and what it truly takes to put on a production. I take great pride in what I have learned on and off stage, and I am evermore proud of the cast and what we have accomplished.

Directing has certainly been a learning process, and I want to thank everyone, especially the cast and Mr. Cairns, for their patience and support. This is an experience I will carry with me for many years to come. If you are interested in more MetLive productions, we would love to see you all back in early 2026 for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream!

Thank you and enjoy the show! - Chloe
