Christmas Hampers
Metropolitan has a long tradition of supporting our neighbours in London with Christmas Hampers each year. We are continuing that tradition this year although in a slightly different form from past years. Rather than Metropolitan fielding applications for assistance from across our city and seeing to the distribution of our Christmas Hampers, we will be providing grocery store gift cards to London Community Chaplaincy who will take care of distribution of the cards to families in the Limberlost community. Metropolitan has supported London Community Chaplaincy for many decades and we are grateful for their presence in the Limberlost Community and the work that they do there. Here is an excellent in-depth profile on the Limberlost community and the London Community Chaplaincy produced by CBC in mid-November It’s well worth your time. https://www.cbc.ca/newsinteractives/features/limberlost
We are now welcoming your contributions to our Christmas Hamper Project. Please see David Spencer in the Greta Room between services or consider leaving your contribution on the offering plate or delivering it to the church office. A convenient alternative is to E-Transfer your contribution to admin@metropolitanchurch.com. Please include a note in the memo section stating the donation is for Hampers and include your envelope or PAR number, or your address so that you are properly receipted.
We know there are many requests for your money at this time of year but we have faith that our congregation will continue to generously support this annual outreach program. One hundred percent of the money donated to our Christmas Hamper project goes to those in need.
Welcome Rev. Dr. David McMaster

Metropolitan Choristers on Tour in England
From an email to Gregg ... "[the cathedral staff] ... all agree that you could give many U.K. cathedral choirs a serious run for their money. All in all, it is agreed that Norwich is a changed cathedral because of your time with us."

Our History
Celebrating Over 200 Years!
The current church building has been 'on this corner' since 1896. Metropolitan has had three permanent church buildings going back to 1833. And going back to our beginnings, the congregation of Metropolitan was formed in 1822. We have a long and proud history!
