Kennedy Kimber-Johnson - Shipman Organ Scholar/ Director of the Junior Bell and Intermediate Bell Choirs
Kennedy is in her second year Western University working on completing her Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Composition. She is studying pipe organ at the university with Paul Merritt and has won awards from the Kiwanis Festival of London. Kennedy is also a part of Western’s St. Cecilia’s Singers choir, and has volunteered in children’s choirs for a couple of years now. Kennedy has been involved with handbell choirs for six years and has gone to two past OGEHR (Ontario Guild of English Handbell Ringers) festivals. At Metropolitan Kennedy serves as the Shipman Organ Scholar is responsible for assisting with the direction of the Junior Vocal and Bell Choirs. She is very excited about her work at Metropolitan United Church and the opportunity to spend time with the children involved in mCAMP and MUCCS.
